ADB Hosts Immersive Sustainable Procurement Training in Mumbai, India

From November 24-26, 2023, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) held a Sustainable Procurement Training in Mumbai, India, bringing together experts and project participants from across the region. Led by Sanjay Kumar as a resource person and senior ADB officials Jenny Chu, Stephane Bessadi, Shyam Mehndiratta, and Akhilesh Samyal, the training aimed to equip participants with practical tools and actionable strategies to integrate sustainable practices into their daily work on ADB projects.

The training featured interactive workshops, case studies, and simulations, providing a hands-on learning experience that bridged the gap between theory and practice. Participants engaged in dynamic exercises, allowing them to apply theoretical concepts to real-world procurement scenarios, fostering a deeper understanding of sustainable procurement in action.The collaborative environment sparked vibrant discussions and knowledge sharing, as participants worked through challenges and explored innovative solutions to implement sustainable practices within their respective projects.
